Flashlight

Lights. Everybody DEFINITELY needs it. Flashlights? Everybody SHOULD have one or at least have one in the home. Why? Below are some reasons why I thought so:

1. Making daily life a lot easier and safer. Finding lost items under furnitures and appliances. Checking the car inside, out, and under. Making sure to read the labels right. Checking for tiny splinter on fingers. Walking on unfamiliar places under dark conditions. Night surely comes after day and so darkness is inevitable. The main purpose of a flashlight is to allow us to see in the dark. Unless you have a night vision or sonar.

2. Power Interruptions. Despite our modern day technological advancement sometimes we still suffer from sudden power interruptions for some reasons. Even if the outages last for only a few seconds or to a few days we need to make sure that we or our loved ones are safe and sound. By checking them when the lights suddenly turned off gives us a feeling of relief and security.

3. Natural and even Man-made Disasters, Calamities and Emergency Situations. It can happen anytime.It is better to have it with you and not need it rather than need it but you haven't got it. Catastrophes strike when you least expect it so better be prepared.

4. Security and Self-Defense. Why do security guards always have a flashlight? Obviously for checking security in the guarded premises. You need to secure your surroundings too. And you can use your flashlight both as long and short range defense. You can temporarily blind aggressive subjects either with high intensity or strobe if your light has it. The flashlight can also be used as kubaton to strike vital points in the body.
