A "must be" personalized kit
Assembling your own is better than just buying ready-made kits because this kit is very much personal. It involves considering your particular location, situation, and medical condition. Sure you can buy packaged kits to start with the basic contents but then you have to add items which are needed and remove those that probably are not necessary for you. Make sure all of the required items are checked, which may include several or all of the following:
- Pain relievers
- Antimotility
- Band-aids
- Sterile gauze pads
- Medical Tape
- Alcohol Pads
- Ear buds
- Antibiotic Ointment
- Bandages
- Antihistamines
- Cotton balls
- Tweezer
- Scissors
- Safety pins
- Razor blade
- Iodine tablets
- Latex gloves
- Antacids
- First aid manual
- Face mask
There are items that are specifically for a person and may or may not be in this list, therefore you can customize it according to your personal health condition and needs.
Now for others this may not be a part of an edc but of a bug-out-bag. But you can assemble a micro first aid kit with only the very basic 10 items or less that can be stored in a small container or capsule. This is very important especially if you have a condition that needed first aid treatment on a more frequent basis.
